Quotely ("we", "us", "our") is operated by its founders. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using Quotely you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

• Account data - name, email address, business name, and password when you register.
• Billing data - payment is processed by Paystack. We do not store card numbers. We retain transaction references and subscription status.
• Customer data you upload - client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and quote content that you enter into Quotely.
• Communications - emails or messages you send us for support.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Quotely platform.
• To send transactional emails (quote delivery, OTP, payment receipts).
• To send product updates and feature announcements (you may opt out at any time).
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Paystack.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with applicable law.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Paystack - for payment processing (subject to Paystack's privacy policy).
• Brevo / Postmark - for transactional email delivery.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

5. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure; please use a strong unique password for your account.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@quotely.com.ng. We will respond within 2 days.

7. Children

Quotely is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
